David helps nurture a positive community of extravagant welcome at Salem, where everyone can be equipped for life's journey. He believes all people possess inherent worth and dignity, and are created for an authentic life of meaning, purpose, hope, peace, and loving service to others.
A native of Austin, Texas, he lives in Doylestown with his wife, best friend, and love of his life, Elle. They have four adult children and one grandchild. David enjoys movies, reading, and the gym. His column on positive living, "Life is Good," appears in the Bucks County Herald.
David is a graduate of Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary and The University of Texas at Austin, and is ordained in the United Church of Christ and the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). He is proud to have served Salem since 2017.
